What is swaxCD ?
swaxCD is a quaint, very specialized program, that plays mp3 music stored in . m3u playlist files while visually looking like the original audio CD. It will display the Album cover if the it's stored in the tag.
In fact, for optimal usage, all mp3 files must be properly tagged including album art. A good tool to create m3u files is swaxM3U.(Formerly MP3 Folder Playlist Builder, currently being re-tooled).
How to Use
Although the program can run by double-clicking it, it is best if you associate .m3u filetypes with it.
- Double click the center to bring up the file dialog to load an m3u playlist.
- Right click to see menu options available
- To move around, drag by the CD spine.
- Use the Hot Spots on the CD to:
- Play, Pause, & Stop
- Skip forward or back
- View track list
- To close, there is also a button in the top left corner.
